Features
FTP, network shares and devices in a panel
A remote server, a network share, a phone or the registry opens in a panel like a local folder, so the same keys copy, view and delete there too.
FTP client
The FTP Client connects from the drive menu or a typed path such as ftp://user@server/path and shows the server in a panel.
- FTPS with explicit TLS (AUTH TLS), with the session reused for data connections.
- Unix, Windows IIS, VMS, MVS, IBM i and z/VM listings, all common proxy and firewall types, and compressed transfers (MODE Z).
- Upload and download whole folders in the background. Each operation has its own window with progress and a pause button, and an interrupted transfer reconnects and resumes where the server allows it.
- Change Unix permissions, view remote files, send raw FTP commands, and keep bookmarks for your servers.
Network shares
The Network plugin lists computers and their shares in a panel without freezing it while the network answers, and remembers what it has seen. UNC paths, including long ones over 260 characters, work everywhere a local path does, and Sally can map and disconnect network drives and show your own shared folders (Ctrl+Shift+F9).
Devices and special places
- Portable Devices: browse and copy files on phones, cameras and other devices connected over MTP.
- Folders: the Desktop, Control Panel, Recycle Bin and other Windows shell folders.
- Registry Editor: browse the registry like a folder tree; copy, move, rename and delete keys and values, edit values, search with regular expressions, and export keys.
- Windows Mobile: older Pocket PC and Windows CE devices through ActiveSync.
Stored passwords
Server passwords you choose to save can be protected with a master password and AES encryption, set under Options › Configuration › Security.
